He preys on your mind
He thrives on your boredom
He soaks up your time
But you'll never notice
When he's around you
It's part of his plan
To make you do what he wants you to do

He kills all your children
He sucks up your fears
Your hate helps to build him
He drinks all your tears
But you cannot see him
Though you know he's around
You must try to hide him
And not bury your head in the ground
He loves all your rivals
He hates all your friends
He cares for your survival
Just to his own ends
You say you don't know him
But you know him so well
For this little monster
Is a part of yourself
